All About Finger Limes

First of all, what is a Finger Lime?

These tiny limes are an exotic fruit native to Australia. Finger Limes are about 3 inches long at harvest, but the real gem is inside. Each Finger Lime is filled with pearls which can best be described as citrus caviar. Juice bursts from the Finger Lime pearls when bitten into with a fresh lemon-lime-grapefruit flavor.

Do I need to refrigerate my Finger Lime?

Whole Finger Limes do not need to be refrigerated and can sit out on the shelf for some time in the produce department or cool part of your kitchen, however, the pearls must be stored in the refrigerator. Check out more tips in this video from Blue Apron!

What can I make with a Finger Lime?

To best enjoy Finger Limes, cut in half and squeeze the Citriburst pearls from the bottom up. Use Citriburst pearls instead of a regular lemon or lime on seafood, tacos, desserts, and cocktails. Check out all of our favorite recipes here!
